It is a wonderfully powerful way to help find the root cause of your issues and to release them from your body and mind. If you don’t like to talk much about your emotions, that’s fine too there are techniques we can use that are less about talking and more about relaxing the mind and nervous system.

Conscious or subconscious thoughts from your past can trigger the brain to activate the fight, flight or freeze response. This is sometimes experienced as a physical reaction like a racing heart, shaking, sweating, shallow rapid breathing, a churning stomach, or you may experience it in another way, like overthinking and worrying.

The gentle tapping sends a signal to the amygdala, the part of the brain responsible for the fight, flight or freeze response. Tapping tells the brain that you are safe and not in immediate danger. This helps to reduce cortisol, so your brain and body can move into the rest and digest response. Usually leaving you feeling calmer and more relaxed.
